Individual Therapy

Hope is the only thing stronger than fear.

Tucan

When issues cause distress, or interfere with normal activities, it may be time to seek therapy.  Distress can manifest as a physical ache, changes in sleep or eating patterns, or unexplainable bad moods.    There may be unhappiness about work or relationships.

Therapy can help by providing an objective listening ear, identifying underlying causes of symptoms, or helping to develop strategies for changing unwanted thoughts, feelings, or behaviors.  The intimacy and confidentiality of the therapist-client relationship are key factors that enable change, healing and growth to take place. This situation often allows therapy to be more successful than medications or other efforts to change.

Rona has training in multiple types of therapy from Modern Analytic (psychodynamic) to cognitive and behavioral, including relaxation techniques and mindfulness meditation, to EMDR.  She will assess your situation and work with you to find the best technique or combination of approaches to resolve your issues.
